Stella subscriptions are usage-based digital services that activate the moment payment succeeds. Because AI processing costs us real money per message, our policy is simple and honest: try Stella free first, and if something is genuinely broken, we make it right.
1. Try Before You Buy
Stella offers a free tier so you can evaluate the product with your own studies before paying anything. Please use it — it is the best refund policy there is.
2. What Is Refundable
- Dead on arrival (48 hours): if you purchase a plan and the Service is materially unusable for you due to a fault on our side, and you have consumed essentially none of your plan's usage, contact us within 48 hours of purchase for a full refund.
- Duplicate or failed payments: charged twice, or money debited without the plan activating? Full refund of the duplicate/failed charge, always.
- Our discretion: genuine edge cases are reviewed case by case — we're students-first and we act in good faith.
3. What Is Not Refundable
- Consumed usage. Once AI usage from your plan has been meaningfully consumed, that spending has already occurred on our side and cannot be returned.
- Partial billing periods — cancelling mid-period stops renewal but does not pro-rate the current period.
- Dissatisfaction with AI answer style or exam results. Stella is a study aid; outcomes depend on many factors beyond the tool.
- Discounts, streak rewards, and promotional credits have no cash value and are non-transferable.
4. Cancellation & Renewal
- Plans never auto-charge. Every plan is a prepaid period; when it ends, nothing renews unless you choose to purchase again. There is no recurring mandate to cancel.
- Letting a plan lapse does not delete your account or your study data — see the Privacy Policy for deletion.
5. How to Request a Refund
Email stella.cured.my.amnesia@gmail.com from your registered email address with your payment ID (from your Razorpay confirmation) and a short description of the issue.
- We acknowledge refund requests within 72 hours.
- Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method via Razorpay within 5–7 business days (your bank may take a few additional days to reflect it).
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a bank dispute — we resolve genuine problems faster than the chargeback process does. Accounts with fraudulent chargebacks may be suspended.
