The agreement, written to be read.

Stella is an AI-powered study companion built for students preparing for university and professional examinations — including medical programmes such as the USMLE and MBBS, undergraduate BSc science degrees, and postgraduate MSc study. The Service includes AI chat, spaced-repetition flashcards, study planning, case and problem practice, and related study tools. Stella is an educational tool — nothing more.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• Provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One account per person. Accounts are personal and may not be shared, sold, or transferred.
• If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us promptly at the address below.

• Paid plans are billed in Indian Rupees (₹) and processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card details.
• Each plan includes usage allowances (for example weekly usage and reserve quotas) as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Allowances, features, and prices may change; changes apply from your next billing period and will be visible before you pay.
• Plans are prepaid periods and never auto-charge — renewing is always a fresh purchase you make yourself. Plan durations are as shown at checkout; an annual plan is ten months of billing for twelve months of access.
• Streaks reward consistency with bonus usage (for example +10% usage on your next plan) rather than a price discount. Referral rewards are price discounts applied to a later purchase, monthly plans only, and are subject to the referral rules shown in the app. All rewards have no cash value and are non-transferable.
• Changes between plans: an upgrade applies immediately when purchased. A downgrade you schedule takes effect at the end of your current period — never mid-period, and never charged early.
• Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• A free tier is provided as-is, may be adjusted or withdrawn at any time, and is limited to one per person.

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, or infringing on others' rights;
• attempt to breach, probe, or overload the Service, bypass rate limits or quota enforcement, or access other users' data;
• scrape, resell, sublicense, or provide third-party access to the Service or its outputs as a competing product;
• reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce the Service's software, prompts, or user interface;
• use automated tooling to extract bulk content from the Service;
• use the Service to provide study or tutoring services to third parties, institutions, or commercial clients without our written consent.

We apply rate limits and fair-use safeguards to keep the Service affordable and available for everyone. Accounts that abuse the Service may be limited, suspended, or terminated.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service in breach of these Terms, your violation of third-party rights, or your unlawful conduct.

• You retain ownership of the content you submit (questions, notes, uploaded study material). You grant us the limited licence needed to process it to run the Service — see the Privacy Policy for how content is handled.
• We do not train AI models on your content. Your chats and study material are used to generate responses and remember your context for you alone, never to improve models for other users.
• Subject to these Terms, you may use AI-generated outputs for your personal study. Outputs are provided "as is", may be inaccurate, and may be similar to outputs generated for other users.
• The Service's software, design, branding, prompt systems, and interface are our intellectual property. All rights reserved.
• Only upload material you have the right to use. We may remove content that infringes third-party rights.

The Service relies on third parties: AI model providers process your prompts to generate responses, Razorpay processes payments, and our static site is delivered via hosting providers. Their processing is described in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for outages of third-party services, though we work to route around them where possible.

Stella is an actively developed product. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or create risk for us or other users. Where reasonable, we will warn you first. Paid entitlements at termination are handled per the Refund & Cancellation Policy.

To the maximum extent permitted by law: the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or exam outcomes; and our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three (3) months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts of competent jurisdiction in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and the "Last updated" date above will change. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

• Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full force.
• No waiver. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver of it.
• Entire agreement. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Refund & Cancellation Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
• Force majeure. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including provider outages, network interruptions, or natural events.
• No assignment. Accounts are personal: you may not transfer or assign your account or rights under these Terms.
